Punjab State Industrial Development Corporation (PSIDC)

 
 

SPW was retained by PSIDC to prepare a perspective plan. SPW carried out a comprehensive economic survey of the State of Punjab and studied development models of small countries, similarly placed to Punjab, in relation to availability of mineral resources. A comprehensive Perspective Plan was prepared, covering restructuring of various development agencies in the State, privatization of PSIDC, development of state on knowledge and financial based industries apart of modernization of agriculture, which has been the core strength of the State. Modernization of working through intensive and extensive use of information technology was recommended apart from recommendations made for overall economic development of the State.

Jay Engineering

 
 

Jay Engineering is in the business of manufacturing diesel injection equipment and electric fans under the brand of USHA. SPW was retained to carry out a detailed assessment of the operations of the company and to develop a survival and growth plan for the company. SPW presented a reengineering and growth plan to the Board of Directors of the Company and also ' Head Hunted ' the Managing Director for the enterprise.

JK Cement

 
 

SPW was retained by JK Cement as part of Consultancy to JK Synthetics to assist the company to restructure its operations, resource management and review of the organization structure. SPW carried out an evaluation of the company’s operations and presented an organizational restructure plan to the management of the company. Additionally SPW advised the company on resource and inventory planning, technology upgrade requirements and logistics. Furthermore, SPW provided in-house management training programs to the management team of the company.

Ministry of Steel and Mines

 
 

SPW was retained by the Ministry of Steel and Mines, Government of India to carry out a study of the safety and environment protection issues related to the steel industry. Col Wahi, Chairman SPW was the Chairman of the study group that put together a detailed report for the Government of India relating to safety standards in steel plants and actions taken by steel plants to be environmentally friendly and to reduce pollution.

Hindustan Organic and Chemicals Limited

 

 

SPW was retained by HOCL that is a Government of India undertaking to carry out an assessment of the company’s operations and managerial effectiveness in their Plant at Hyderabad and to recommend changes in the organization structure of the company. SPW helped the Managing Director of the Plant, reorganize and develop strategies and tactics to ensure Managerial effectiveness.

SP Wahi has been retained by the Company to provide assistance to the Chairman of the Company on business development, organization structure for operations and allied matters from 1991 to 2002. This enabled the Company to restructure its worldwide operations and continuous growth as an enterprise.
