D.N.Davar -  Director

Mr. Davar has over 46 years experience in the operations and management of banking and financial institutions. He was formerly Chairman of IFCI for 8 years, the oldest multi-lateral financial institution in India. He is an outstanding financial expert and a management guru. He is currently Chairman of a Group of Companies that are focused on the automotive manufacturing sector.

Mr. Davar began his career in Punjab National Bank and later joined the Industrial Finance Corporation of India (IFCI) in 1968 as Senior Manager, took up various positions and finally that of Executive Chairman for a period of 8 years. During his tenure as Chairman of IFCI, he was on the Board and executive Committee of IDBI, IRBI for nearly 8 years and also on the Board of LIC Housing Finance Co, besides several others.

He has held several positions of importance including but not limited to being a part time consultant to the World Bank, United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) and Kreditanstalt fur Wiederaufbau (KFW).
 
Mr Davar earned his Bachelors in Commerce and Masters in Economics. He is a Certified Associate of the Indian Institute of Bankers (CAIIB) as well as Fellow of the Economic Development Institute of the World Bank. He is a permanent honorary member of the Faculty of the Management Development Institute (MDI) India.
